Brought to you by Entrepreneur Journal Review:

Many women choose to have kids and be stay-at-home moms in order to take care of their children. However, in this age of computers and the internet, stay-at-home moms can now be entrepreneurs in the comfort of their own living rooms. Being an entrepreneur today doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to go to an office. You can have your own office right at home.

If you’re a mom, or a woman with an entrepreneurial spirit, there are many different ways that you can earn money without leaving your home. Here are some small business ideas for women that you can try:

1. Start Your Own Blog

When people hear about blogging, they think it’s a waste of time and it doesn’t really bring in money. While this may be true for some, there are many bloggers who are currently earning four to five digits a month.

Earning money from blogging takes time, patience, and passion. You need to blog about what you’re passionate about and not just some random topic that you think a lot of people will read. When you’re not an authority on the niche that you’ve chosen, your readers will figure this out and you’ll lose them.

Choose a niche that you’re an expert in and keep writing about topics that add value to your readers.

2. Be an Entrepreneur on Amazon

Amazon has millions of members, which is why the company has been dominating online shopping for many years now. You can learn about the Fulfillment by Amazon services through online courses.

If you have nothing to sell, you can easily find items from stores that offer good prices and then sell them on Amazon. There are just a few strategies that you need to implement so your products are seen by more users.

People will always look for good deals, so if you can offer better prices than your competitors, you should sell more.

3. Party Planning Business

Raising a child takes a lot of your time. However, if you can manage your time, you can consider being a party planner. Start on a small scale at first as bigger events naturally demand more time.

You can start with children’s birthday parties, plan a proposal, or even an engagement party. Big events, such as weddings, require significantly more time which you may not have, but smaller events can be planned from your home, where you can also occasionally meet clients. You can start with a small team so they can help you with the preparations.

4. Start a Daycare Business

If you like working with kids and you actually have fun with them, you should consider starting a daycare. If possible, you can start by hiring one or two assistants. This way, you’re caring for you own child and earning money in the process. Not to mention that your kid will have instant playmates.

5. Social Media Management

Most businesses have social media pages and they all need a social media manager to enhance their business. You can build a team wherein each member works remotely. Spend your free time learning all about the trends and how to convert page visits into sales. You can also take a crash course on social media management, including how to run ads.

You’ll need to answer questions from followers and help them with their issues. You’ll also need to have great people and language skills. If you’re on social media a lot, you’re already knowledgeable about how it works, and you probably already know when an ad is effective or not because you’ve seen tons of them.

6. Start a Baking Business

Starting a baking business is popular among stay-at-home moms who truly like cooking and baking as well as for any woman who’s interested in this type of business. If you have a tendency to search for easy recipes for dinner and before you know it, you’re experimenting with different kinds of flour and more, a baking business might be right for you.

The best thing about this is that you can start selling and getting orders on your personal social media accounts. Your family and friends could be your first customers until your products gain more attention. Be sure to check the laws in your state and town related to operating commercial kitchens to be sure you can sell the foods you bake at home.

It’s a great time to be a stay-at-home entrepreneur because of the internet. More and more businesses are being run online, so why shouldn’t you give it a try?

The internet has so much to offer, and it’s time for you to take advantage of it. The businesses mentioned in this article are only a few ideas. There is so much more that you could do and accomplish. All you have to do is gain knowledge and build the confidence to become an entrepreneur.
